Residential House B, Freundorf
Mediterranean garden landscape with a view

Inspired by Mediterranean landscapes, this private garden combines natural materials with a thoughtfully selected array of plants. Olive trees, white pines, and a small sandy beach give the site a southern flair, while the bathing and terrace landscape harmoniously integrates into the gentle slope overlooking the Tullnerfeld.
The infinity pool is accompanied by a carefully coordinated planting: Various types of grasses, lavender and flowering plants such as panicle hydrangeas, blue spirea, and anemones create a lively environment. A gravel bed provides gentle transitions between the limestone terrace and the adjacent lawn green.
Structural accents are set by specifically placed solitary shrubs such as multi-stemmed rhododendrons and Japanese maples. Rosemary willows and Japanese forest grass complement the design and make the atmosphere of a Mediterranean sea breeze tangible.
The result is a garden that effortlessly and elegantly establishes a connection between nature and architecture – a retreat oasis with southern charm.
