Residential House P, St.Georgen

Let things take their course.

The present, geometric language of architecture gives a very clear framework for this single-family house at first glance. It does so even at second glance. That this framework, however, offers room for wild naturalness, one might not initially assume. Verbena, gaura and sea holly are allowed to thrive here in their vibrant beauty, which is by no means accidental, but was orchestrated with a clear design approach. The consciously desired, refreshing lack of fences and walls, in combination with the extensive grass areas, leads to an infinite feeling of freedom. The multi-trunk pine adds a rustic flair to the whole, along with the fire pit on the loosely staggered stones in the gravel bed. This garden plays around the architecture as a free-spirited refuge, celebrating the principles of naturalness and unpredictability. It reminds us that the course of things does not just mean chaos, but can result in a harmonious order that is shaped by time and the pursuit of authenticity. This allows the garden to be celebrated as the living, breathing counterpart to the static architecture with great pleasure.
