Residential House W, Maria Enzersdorf

Architecture and nature in harmony.

A thoughtful garden design combines clear lines with natural elements, creating a harmonious, contemporary outdoor space. The generous wood and natural stone architecture is divided into two main areas: an open cooking and dining zone and a protected lounge area.
At the center, a natural pool forms the heart of the facility, framed by IPE wood and accompanied by lavender and grass plantings, creating a Mediterranean ambiance. A fire pit made of Corten steel, embedded in a gravel bed, complements the concept and provides an atmospheric retreat. Striking planting islands with pines and serviceberry trees set targeted accents in the design.
The hillside garden opens up to the surroundings, allowing expansive views over the city, thereby creating a close connection between landscape and architecture. In contrast, the newly designed roof terraces are deliberately designed as private retreats. Integrated planting areas with Japanese maples, dogwoods, and blooming fragrant shrubs create a protected, atmospheric environment for the adjacent living areas.
The result is an outdoor space that conveys both openness and security, characterized by a clear design language and a thoughtful plant selection.
